Caring Dentistry, Bright Smiles
Dr. Luisa Snyder was born and raised in Escuintla, Guatemala where she met her husband, Nathan Snyder, while he was visiting from his home state of Oregon. They married in Antigua, Guatemala and lived there together for a couple of years before moving to Oregon in 2004
From an early age, Dr Luisa knew she wanted to be a dentist. Inspired by her Aunt who owned and ran her own dental practice in Guatemala, she knew there was no other job for her. She loved dentistry! After attending Linn-Benton Community College and graduating from Oregon State University, she went on to study at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona California where she graduated at the top of her class. Her passion for dentistry led Dr Nathan to the field as well, the duo attending school and completing their general dentistry residencies together at the Los Angeles VA Hospital (in conjunction with the UCLA School of Dentistry).
Dr Luisa continues to inspire those around her with her dedication and passion for the work she does in providing healthy, bright smiles for Salem and the surrounding Willamette Valley.
When she’s not working, Dr Luisa loves spending time with her family; her two children, Patrick Antonio and Isabel Rosalina, and their two mini-goldendoodles, Luna and Sol (Moon and Sun in Spanish). She enjoys watching basketball, reading, spending time with her family, traveling and learning about new cultures.
Dr Luisa is proud to call the Pacific Northwest her home.
Meet Our Team
Kim is our office manager and who you are most likely to meet on the phone or when you step into our office.
With a background of over 15yrs as a dental assistant, she knows her stuff!
She is also fluent in ASL!
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her family; riding horses, competing in rodeos, and cheering for her son from the sidelines throughout the year.
Haley is our lead dental assistant and like Dr Luisa, she has always known she wanted to work in dentistry. A graduate from Chemeketa Community College’s Dental Assisting program in 2016, she has a passion for everything she does, especially patient education.
She can be found in the office doing almost everything! Front office, assisting with procedures chairside, helping out in hygiene, you name it.
She also knows a little ASL and Spanish!
Outside of work, Haley attends various sci-fi and comic conventions in the PNW, crafting and sewing, and baking for family and friends.
Daniella (Dani) is one of our amazing dental assistants who is a natural working chairside with Dr Luisa.
Assisting for 5+ years, she has a knack for easing anxiety and stress before an appointment and is a joy to have in our office, always laughing along with Dr Luisa and patient’s during treatment and ensuring a more relaxed environment. She is also fluent in Spanish!
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her sister and twin nephews, and traveling.
Lyzette (Lyz) is our wonderful dental hygienist. Much like Dr Luisa, she has always known she wanted to be a dental hygienist. A graduate from The Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene program at Chemeketa Community College in 2017, she works hard to keep the smiles of Salem and surrounding areas bright, clean and healthy.
She is also fluent in Spanish!
With a heart for patient education, she is always excited to give new tools and tips to improve your home routine and get the best out of your dental care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her two boys, and flexing her green thumb in her garden.
